One of the greatest most challenging journeys you'll ever go on is seeing what your body can do. Maybe you are in shape, wholly out of shape, or simply looking to lose some weight. However, developing a body you can be proud, one that is healthy, and allows you to really adore each last tiny inch of it really is a wonderful journey to undertake.

So what's the secret behind making a long-lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become unmotivated and discouraged. As an alternative understand you are competing with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every single time you do, you must come back with a firm dedication to achieving something you strongly desire. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each and every day. Without it, you may suffer the the inevitable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each and every single year on making the body of their dreams because they lack the personal power to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also comes to mind, although not the commitment you're possibly thinking of. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must occur at the moment and if it does not actually happen right now, it is not worthwhile. Your body is going to really change throughout all the years, so why don't you make a lifelong promise to remaining healthy? Is that a marketable and sellable idea? Not particularly. But is it something that could actually change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you will ultimately reach whatever goal you wish. It is all about seeing the big picture than merely the few months in front of you till summer. It is about developing something that you truly can be proud of forever. For me, that concept changed the course of my life as I was able to ultimately hit my health goals after 12 years of fighting with my self image and food issues. But as soon as I changed my view of what I was making an attempt to accomplish, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it's working for you. Make a lifelong and relentless commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term as well.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all aspects of your life, and things will change significantly.
